Description
In this paper, we show the characteristics of fluctuated stresses acting on the boom of the rough terrain crane operated at a job site. We conducted a stress measurement with a crane used at an equipment storage site of a construction company. Three main factors for fluctuated stresses are picked up. They are the change of posture for readiness, the change of posture during a work and shocks by the change of motion. Large stress fluctuation amplitude is caused mainly by the change of posture, and its emergence frequency is low.
