Abstract
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are potentially attractive for monitoring of environmental conditions like damage in disaster areas. In the previous research, we have developed a quadrotor helicopter which can be operated by wireless remote control and is available for aerial photography. The quadrotor helicopter is more stable and maneuverable than general single-rotor helicopters. This paper proposes a wireless environmental monitoring system based on the developed quadrotor helicopter. Then, by wireless remote control, we can take aerial photos with environmental conditions which are information of the location, the orientation, the altitude. and the attitude of the helicopter.
