抄録

The innes surface areas of Japanese coals have been measured by means, of methane adsorption method at room temperature.<BR>The surface areas obtained range from 77m2/g ·coal for high rank bituminous coal to 167m2/g ·Ecoal for lignite.<BR>Comparing these values with those obtained by means of methanol heat of wetting, a good accordance has been found between both values.<BR>From these results, this method hove been confirmed to be valid for the measurement of inner surface area of coal.
