抄録
The stress distribution ar ound the various shape tunnels or mine openings are already investigated theoretically and experimentary. This note gives a theoretical solution around two parallel excavated horizontal circular tunnels of equal size. The method of solution is to add to the given stress system a suitable biha rm onic function which gives no stress at infinity. The parametric coefficients involved in the solution are adjusted so as to satisfy the boundary conditions at the edge of the tunnels. The author applied bipolar coordinates in this solution, and culculated the stress distribution.<BR>When two tunnels are very near excavated each other, the stresses at the both side of these two tunnels are greater than that in case of siagle. When we change the distance between two tunnels, the stress distribution change also according to the distance, namely, increases. The author tried to culculate these change of stress distribution. In this case, we must take to n=10 in order to find the suitable value of stress. So it is not so easy to culculate the value of stress practically.
