抄録

To 25 winding ropes (85 test pieces) which were discarded to have achieved the common average values of the winding performance on the life of ropes for vertical shaft, all kinds of experiments are given, and the decrease degrees are obtained by the experimental data at new time of each rope. By them, this report is that wear, remaining strength and drops of mechanical properties are examined.<BR>On the discard time of winding ropes, the main results obtained can be summarized as follows:<BR>(1) The breaking strength of winding ropes decreases by 20% in breaking limit, when the elongation limit by 72%. The general standard strength and the breaking limit at the rope socket decrease by 12%, when those elongation by 55%.<BR>And the strength of main wires (wires without a core strand) forming winding rope decreases by 12% in each one at the general standard strength and the breaking limit at the rope socket.<BR>(2) As for other various decrease rate the drum rope is larger than the Koepe.<BR>(3) In the drum system, the part that become most weak through overall length of rope is the contact point with the drum when the cage reached to the pit head, and secondly it is the contact point with the head sheave when it reached to the pit bottom.<BR>In the Koepe system, the decrease of strength through overall length of rope is nearly balanced, but it may be said that the central part of the rope length become comparatively weak.
