Abstract

As regards operation of Mikkaichi Smelter, a report has already been made in the December, 1956 and February, 1958 editions of this bulletin. In this report, descriptions are given on the subsequent improvements attained such as on the method of roasting and sintering, recovery of copper gold and silver as well sa on the furnace plan of improvements including expansion of electric furnace, improvement in the grade of spelter, recovery of cadomium and recovery of zinc in the final residue.<BR>In addition to these, an introduction is also made on the production of zinc concentrate and on the history of zinc smelting of the Nippon Mining Co., Ltd.
