抄録

A suitable rheological model consisted of springs, dashpots and sliders is proposed in order to explain the plasto-viscoelastic behavior of rocks under impulsive loadings.Using this model the stress-strain relationships under various rates of loading are investigated chiefly and the variation of breaking strength against the rate of loading is illustrated from the viewpoint of rheology.<BR>Furthermore, a method to determine experimentally the values of rheological constants involved in the above model is also considered and some of them are determined for marble specimens and sandstone specimens.
