Abstract
As for the plan of improving the meteorological condition in the hot underground, two methods are usually adopted one is by means of increasing ventilation volume, and another is by cooling air artificially with the refrigerator. In the adoption of the former method, the relation between ventilation volume and the temperature of air current, the effect of wetness of rock surface, thermal conductivity of rocks, and radius of mine gallery on the temperature of air current come into question. And regarding the latter method, the setting place of the refrigerator or the cooler comes into question.<BR>In this paper we discussed these problems citing some examples, and further set forth the cooling method using cool water.We noted down here that since these devices were brought in operation, the meteorological condition in Bessi Mine has been improved and prospects of success in the deep mining was realized.
