抄録

Some reactions in the rotary kiln by Krupp-Renn process using the garnierite of New Caledonia were investigated. The results obtained are as follows:-<BR>1. Combined water of the are vaporizes completely at 800°C in the preheating zone.<BR>2. Reducibility of nickel oxide and iron oxide into metal by carbon mono-oxide are very low in the reduction zone.<BR>3. Reducibility of nickel oxide and iron oxide into metal by solid carbon are promoted at 1, 300°C.<BR>4. Luppe grows also by agitation under reducing atmosphere in the luppen zone.<BR>5. Slag composition was discussed and obtained an adequate point for the garnierite.
