This paper is concerned with the theme of "Religion and Masculinity". We present positivistic data of a Naikan circle religious movement of the common people, which is a an often unknown fashion in modern Japanese society, and we present some problems of Japanese Men's Studies, which is still in the process of formation. The object of study in this paper is a Naikan circle movement called "The Light of El Ranty". In this movement male participants are sometimes directed to "destroy your manhood," advice not given to female participants. In this paper we explore the meaning of "destroy your manhood". Next, we explain this advice by relating it with the conversion experience of the leader of the movement in middle age. Finally, we suggest the following points, by comparing this movement with the Japanese Men's lib movement: 1. It is predictable that part of New Religion will become similar to the Men's Lib movement and part of the Men's Lib movement will become similar to Religion, 2. Kimio Itou's "armor theory" is characterized by "Men's Study as the Son of a Mother" whose main targets are mainly middle-aged men.
