Abstract

The purpose of this study was to clarify the characteristic in the diving motion of the goal keeper in soccer. Subjects were 13 goal keepers in university soccer team(age 19〜23). They dived to the ball in response to the electric signal of the direction indicator. The ball was seted in 13 places (distance=near, far. height=lower, middle, upper. And top). There are significant difference in arrival time. Both distance, middle height's time is faster than other height's time. In case of near distance, upper is faster than lower. To the contrary in case of far distance, upper is later than lower. The result suggested that in case of near distance from goal keeper, it has a tendency to be hard to prevent a low shot. However in case of far distance, it has a tendency to be hard to prevent a high shot. By making the figure of estimated savable zone, it could see that lower and upper area are later than middle area. There are no previous study showed such a figure.
