Description

Saga Prefecture Library holds massive documents of Saga-Han Government in the Edo period. Among them, there are financial annual reports on the accounting section of one hundred volumes from 1725 to 1857. I accomplished to make transcription and digitization of them in May 2001.<br/> 　In processing digitization, I have tried to take out metadata elements from the original materials. They are a set of information resources, and I have made a table of collective description for 24 metadata elements chronologically from 1725 to 1857. Also I tried to put explanatory about text file of transcription and structured table on the revenue and expenditure.<br/> 　My article is the issue that the metadata elements description is one of the means of guarantee on authenticity, reliability and preservation (or representation) on both original and digitized materials.
