Abstract
Although the purpose of project is to capture the value derived from the outcome of project, there exist many projects unachievable of capturing the expected value and the number would be more than we could imagine. Further a number of uncertainty projects tend to be increasing due to rapidly changing current business environments. Under such a business environment, it becomes more and more important for organization to capture the value of project to a maximum extent. In order to prevent projects from failing and extract the value of project, each organization has to reconsider the positioning of project planning and evaluation, and necessary actions should be taken at organization level seriously. This article explains the value of planning and evaluation.
