抄録

A new and simple infrared spectrophotometric method using 650∼400 cm-1 (KBr) region offered for rapid simultaneous determination of phenacetin and caffeine in their pharmaceutical preparations containing aminopyrine. The separation of absorption bands of these components is better than in ordinary NaCl region. The key bands used for phenacetin and caffeine are 543 and 483 cm-1, respectively, in CHCl3 solution, and these two components are easily determined without interferences of other components by the use of suitalbe base lines. This method gave good results in standard mixed samples and unknown samples.
