説明

The hydrothermal study of a common hornblende in the range from 70 atm to 500 atm water vapour pressure was mainly carried out in alkaline solutions. The hornblende easily altered to vermiculite and hydrogarnet in the dilute NaOH and MgCO3 solution below 400°C and the vermiculite was gradually converted into mica at 500°C. The formation of serpentine was favoured by increasing proportion of NaOH. Trioctahedral micas were formed in the NaOH+K2CO3 and Na2CO3+K2CO3 solutions; under the former condition phlogopite was formed, and under the latter condition biotite was formed.
