抄録

The protection of corrosion cracking was studied in liquid ammonia tanks of 60kg/mm2 high strength steel at 8°C. It was cleared by results of inspection for liquid ammonia tanks which zinc film had been sprayed 8 years ago that zinc spraying method could prevent tanks from corrosion cracking. If the thickness of splayed zinc film on the steel plate is less than 200μm, the corrosion cracking of the plate could be detected from on top of the film by the magnetic particle inspection. The corrosion rate of zinc sprayed film was about 10μm/y in liquid ammonia, and the blisters of zinc film were observed after about 3 years, but the preventive effects had been kept.
