We describe construction of a 16 channel, near infrared spectro-polarimeter capable of simultaneous measurement of polarimetry from 0.9 to 2.5 μm with low spectral resolution and present the polarimetric data obtained with it. This instrument employs a sapphire prism as a disperser, showing the characteristics of high throughputs and flat polarization both in degrees and position angles over the wavelength region. This is the first astronomical spectro-polarimeter using the multi-channel infrared array detector. This prism spectrometer, attached to several telescopes, are successfully producing a number of data since completion in 1990. We present the data of stars in evolving stages and discuss future developments of spectro-polarimeters using array detector.
