Description

The present study demonstrates spatially resolved distributions of radical emission (C2, OH and CH) for propane/air premixed flat flame at a low pressure (100 torr), by using a 2-dimensional imaging spectrometer has high spatial and resoltion and can be scanned continuously over ultraviolet through visible region (200 nm-760 nm). This instrument consists of an objective lens, two grantings, an intermediate slit, an image slit, an image intensifier and an ocular lens. Two gratings are arranged and moved symmetrical for an intermediate slit. The first grating works as a light scatter and the second one is used as light. The intermediate slit, which is set up between first and second grating, controls the scattered light incident on the second grating. The light reflected by the second grating is focused on the face of the image intensifier. The electrically shuttering of the image intensifier controls the detection time of this instrument.
