Abstract

Non-invasive measurement is one of specific character of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) especially in biological studies. Here, we review a variety of reported articles for (1) high-resolution solution NMR, (2) high-resolution Magic Angle Spinning (hr-MAS) and (3) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in the intact biological systems. Furthermore, our preliminary investigations of these experiments for both non-labeled and uniformly 15N-labeled rice seeds are described. In addition to this, future perspectives of methodological advances of both NMR software and NMR hardware for the in vivo NMR studies are discussed.
