説明
Porous alumina with vertical pores having an average diameter of 100 nm was fabricated by the anodization of highly pure aluminum in oxalic acid solution. A solution of 1,2-dichloroethane containing tris(8-quinolinolato)-aluminum(III) (Alq), N,N′-diphenyl-N,N′-bis(3-methylphenyl)-1,1′-biphenyl-4,4′-diamine (TPD), and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) was dropped onto the porous alumina in vacuum, and indium tin oxide (ITO) was coated on the alumina by DC sputtering after drying to fabricate an organic electroluminescence (EL) device. It was found that the peak of the electroluminescence spectrum of this device shifted to a shorter wavelength than that of a conventional layered electroluminescence device prepared using the same solution.
