Description
To design a dual-layered disk with a high reflectivity, we selected the organic recording material. However, organic recording materials for violet lasers have low sensitivity. To solve this problem, we developed new methods of designing a translucent reflective layer. One of these methods is the control of the extinction coefficient k from 0.1 to 0.3. In addition, a method of controlling k is the utilization of the intermediate. The intermediate used in this study is the state between a metal and a compound of saturation. These methods show a potentiality of the design for a dual-layered disk with organic recording materials.
