Abstract

14 cases of external eye diseases (Meibomitis, lacrimal canaliculitis and keratits) were cured all after 3-9 days (100%).<BR>The penetration of ATAT-2266 into the tear and the serum of 22 human cases were examined simultaneously at 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 hour after the oral administration of 200mg.<BR>The peak of tear level was 0.769±0.116μg/ml (1/ 2 hour after) and half time was 4 hours. This level was considered effective to the external eye infections both by S. aureus and P. aeruginosa.
