抄録

We clinically investigated a new oral cephalosporin, cefetamet pivoxil, with the following results.<BR>1) Thirty-three patients with surgical infections were enrolled in this study, and 31 were eligible for evaluation.<BR>2) Of the 31 assessable patients, clinical response was excellent in 13, good in 8, fair in 6 and poor in 4 cases, and the efficacy rate was 67.7%.<BR>3) This drug is best prescribed against infections caused by Gram-negative aerobic rods, not by Gram-positive cocci.<BR>4) The recommended dose is 1, 000mg daily.
