Interfacial tension of polystyrene/poly(dimethylsiloxane) blends with different molecular weights have been measured as a function of temperature by sessile drop method. The results are described as a scaled relation of reduced interfacial tension vs. reduced segregation strength, χ⁄χc−1, where χ is the segmental interaction parameter and χc is χ at the critical temperature. The scaled relation is discussed on the basis of mean-field theory, and a semi-empirical expression has been presented for the scaled relation covering a wide temperature range.
