- Catalysts for reduction of nitric oxide in flue gas with carbon monoxide.
抄録
The process of catalytic reduction of nitric oxide in flue gas to nitrogen with carbon monoxide is well known. We have tried to obtain suitable, practical catalysts for this process. One of the most excellent catalysts found consists of alumina, copper oxide, magnesium oxide and rhodium. The catalyst can be easily produced by the method of immersing and baking, and high levels of its activity can be maintained even when the reaction gas contains sulfur dioxide, oxygen, and water vapors. A catalyst whose composition is 0.05%Rh-6%Cu-3%Mg-Al2O3 was able to reduce NO with an efficiency of 90% or better at temperatures between 300°C and 450°C, with the CO ratio (=[CO]/([NO]+2[O2]), (i): concentration of i component) in the range from 1.0 to 1.5, and space velocity of 10, 000h-1. The SO2 in the reaction gas is not converted to other sulfur compounds such as H2S, COS or to elemental S.
