説明
1) Young male albino rats, mongrel dogs, and human subjects were employed to examine the effect of exogenous injection of oxytocin on the pituitary-gonadal system.
2) By the injection of oxytocin, the pituitary-gonadal system is strongly stimulated, and the secretion of pituitary gonadotrophin markedly increases judged by the urinary output of pituitary gonadotrophin, the chromatographic fractionations of urinary 17-ketosteroids, and by the histological findings of the adenohypophysis and the gonads.
3) Brief discussions are made on the role played by the hypothalamic pituitary neurosecretion with regard to the stimulation of the anterior pituitary in the natural stress response.
