Description

A 78-year-old female with chief complaint of hematuria was operated on for bladder tumor. The tumor was as large as the tip of thumb, and nonpapillary tumor of right lateral wall of the bladder was slightly elevated showing marked infiltration. Histologically, the tumor was composed of undifferentiated small cells forming a solid-alveolar archi-tecture. Glandular metaplasia was prominent. Furthermore, a small papillary, transitional cell carcinoma was also found in the neighbourhood of the tumor
