Serum drug levels of major-tranquilizer and antidepressant drug were measured by high performance liguid chromatography (HPLC) in 3 cases of acute intoxication.<br>The first patient (case 1) had taken chlorpromazine 2200mg, promethazine 1100mg and phenobarbital 3520mg About 8 hours before the serum sampling. Serum drug level of chlorpromazine was 10ng/ml and phenobarbital 47.35 microgram ml. The second patient (case 2) had taken maprotillne 400mg About 7 hours before the serum sampling serum drug level of maprotillne was 295ng/ml. The third patient (case 3) had taken haloperidol 30mg, levomepromazine 250mg, chlorpromazine 250mg, promethazine 375mg, pheno barbital 400mg, flunitrazepam 20mg About 9 hours before the serum sampling, serum drug level of haloperidol was 30ng/ml, levomepromazine 56ng/ml, chlorpromazine 74ng/ml, phenobarbital 15.4 microgram/ml and flunitrazepam 61ng/ml.
