Description

The focal symptoms of the sequela of head war injuries without bone fracture but focal signs were studied in 154 patients passed 11/2 to 3 years after their injuries.
The narrowing visual field, disturbance of bulbal movement or accomodation, anisocoria and the decreasing visual power were generally observed more than one in each case, and the disturbances as a whole were very complicated. Moreover, they have been more or less suffered from asthenopia.
This would be associated with the disturbance of more neurotic tracts as compared with the other focal signs (the motor tracts A. S. Q.).
It should be considered that the psychological factors were overlayed.
Besides so-called brain focal sign in a narrow sense of sequela of head injuries, especially, of its contusion, there were many other symptoms e. g. subjective signs, disturbance of intelligence and of adaptation to circumstances, change of character, and so on, which contain more important questions than the former. Having no consideration of the latter, it is impossible to discuss the sequela of head war injuries, theoretically, practically, or individually and socially, The real condition of them are very complicated and inscruptable, and so-called brain focal sign in narrow sense is only the most accessible subject of them. This is most apprehensive to patients themselves.
