Abstract

The respiratory failure in the patients with cardiac disease is investigated, especially the point of changes in blood gas is studied.
Arterial oxygen tension were lower than normal in all the patients. From this finding, it was concluded that the respiratory failure due to cardiac disease mainly caused by the fall in arterial oxygen pressure derived from the disturbance of blood gas exchange in the case of congestive heart failure.
I discussed upon the effect of cardiac failure on the pulmonaly functions and upon the pathologic physiology of “Functional Pulmo Cardiale”.
