説明

The liver function test (S-GPT, S-GOT) were carried out before and after blood transfusion with respect to occurence of posttransfusion hepatitis at Myo jo National Sanatorium.<br>There were 58 cases (48.2%) of posttransfusion hepatitis in recent 26 months, Among posttransfusion hepatitis, 11 cases were accompanied with jaundice and 47 cases were not accompanied with jaundice.<br>The incubation period was 14 to 180 days, and the majority was in 60 to 90 days. The amount of blood transfusion was 400 to 9, 200ml and all cases received preserved blood.<br>As to the liver function test, the serum transaminase, C. C. L. F. T., alkaline phosphatase were elevated from early stage. The peak of S-GPT and S-GOT were in 8 to 20 weeks, and then return to normal value, Impairement of liver function prolonged even after the disappearance of clinical symptome and signs.<br>Routine check up of weekly S-GPT and S-GOT after transfusion would be effective for early discoveration of non-jaundice hepatitis which were appropriately treated by administration of liver protecting agents.
