Abstract

Four embryos, collected from superovulated donor heifers 7 days after estrus, were cultured for 48 h by the technique of stoppered test tube with a gas mixture (5%CO2, 5%02, 90%N2) in BMOC-3+ 10% FCS. Gassing was done just before culture only. After 48 h of culture, three embryos were developed into one hatching blastocyst and two expanded blastocysts, and they were transferred to each of 3 recipient heifers with ensheathed AI instrument. Two out of 3 heifers were diagnosed as pregnant at 31, 52 and 104 days after the transfer.
