Abstract

An orofacialpain (OFP) is the word which combined oral and facial with pain. The Conception of OFP is a new field of dentist spreading rapidly in world dentistry world since the later half of 1990's by an American orofacial pain society American Academy of Orofacial Pain. OFP is divided into odontogenic pain and non-odontogenic pain. A dentist has a duty to offer medical treatment of high quality to the patient suffering from OFP.<BR>However, a dentist is familiar with odontogenic pain, but it is the present conditions that recognition of non-odontogenic pain is not high. In OFP, there are a lot of disease which cannot be procedured by conventional dentistry education. It is need that a dentist masters diagnoses and treatments about various OFP.
