抄録

<p>The emergence of adult males of Carposina sasakii and their periods of fruit infestation were investigated in apple orchards in Iwate Prefecture where the moth species was controlled using a mating disruptor alone as well as with supplementary insecticides. Fruit damage caused by this pest was not observed when supplementary control was applied, although 2 years after supplementary control had ceased, fruit damage increased to 49.7%. In the orchard where severe C. sasakii damage occurred, fruit damage decreased 2 years after supplementary control was applied during the period of adult emergence.</p>
