Description

This paper deals with experimental investigation on the dynamic behavior and friction characteristic of pneumatic cylinder. The pneumatic cylinder is installed in the vertical direction. The effect of velocity of the pneumatic piston on the dynamic behavior and friction characteristic is investigated. The velocity of the pneumatic piston is measured by high speed camera. The vibration characteristic of three directions(x,y,z) on the pneumatic cylinder by accelerometers bonded at the tip of the pneumatic piston rod and the pneumatic cylinder is also examined. The experiments show that the dynamic behavior and friction characteristic is affected by velocity of the pneumatic piston.
