Abstract

Roughly speaking, apical radiography is done terough two methods i.e. chest-oblique lordtic posttion method and Albers-Schonberg's method. Although satisfactory results con be obtained through these methods, there are defects suth as difficulty in obtaining uniform image due to indiridual discrepancy of position of rib, pains of patient arising from taking an unnatural posture. In view of these points, we have endeavored to obtain an uniform apical racliograph by following methods, viz. 1) To ease the posture of the patient as in the case of standing posture. 2) The condition of radiography to be based upon two factors i. e., the distance of the second ribs (front and back), the thickness of breast.
