Description

A possibility of the immunity effect of influenza related with ABO blood groups was examined from the viewpoint of antibody titer before and after an influenza vaccination.<BR>The results are as follows:<BR>1) A-blood group showed a lower increasing rate than O-blood group.<BR>2) But in case that the antibody titer has been already high since pre-vaccination, no difference is observed between both groups.<BR>3) This fact suggests that subjects w ith low antibody titer before vaccination should be seeked for to be examined.<BR>4) No significant d ifference between influenza A and B was observed in this case.
