Abstract

Location of tobacco necrotic dwarf virus antigen in plant tissues was detected by the fluorescent antibody staining method.<br> The antigen was restricted to phloem tissue in tobacco, Physalis floridana and spinach. A method using polyethylene glycol 1000 for embedding tissues fixed with the Carnoy's fixative was proved to be rapid and effective to detect the specific fluorescence in tissue sections.
