Description
This review gives an overview of the studies on the permeation mechanisms in three types of molecular channels,aquaporin, influenza M2, and KcsA ion channels. The studies employed the theory of molecular recognition, whichhas been made based on the three dimensional reference interaction site model theory. The information about thepermeation mechanisms of the channels, deduced from the three dimensional distribution of ligands in the channelpore.
