抄録

The effect of population density on some characters of larva, pupa and adult in the rice stem borer, Chilo suppressalis, has been examined. The experiment was carried out under laboratory condition.<br>The results obtained are summarized as follows:<br>From these results, it is concluded that the crowded life may be favourable for larvae prior to the dispersion period, while after the dispersion period the relation is reversed.
