Description
The Laptev Sea is an important element in the global water cycle. However, its condition was hardly observed before the 1930s, when the Russian polar-station system was established.<BR>Here old cruise reports are used to reconstruct the Laptev Sea ice condition during the period when systematic observations were not made.
