Description
For this study we developed a checklist of occupational safety and health risks based on hospital field patrols. Two occupational physicians and four health supervisors who were employed at the hospital classified four years worth of data that had been collected by field patrols into different categories. The ideal status of each category was discussed. We then developed a form with useful and constructive examples that the person in charge of each division could complete. After conducting trials of the checklist in 11 inpatient wards over a two-year period, we finalized a revised version of the form. This document includes nine major items and 45 minor items, which are related to the occupational safety and health risk characteristics of the hospital.
