Description
A new diterpene having antimicrobial activities was isolated from the leaves and twigs of Chamaecyparis pisifera Endle (Cupressaceae), and named pisiferic acid. The structure was shown to be 12-hydroxyabieta-8, 11, 13-trien-20-oic acid.
