Abstract

In order to strengthen carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP), effects of a pre-stressing on mechanical properties in stress-strain curve of tensile test have been investigated. The pre-stressing remarkably improves the apparent elastic coustant, tensile strengrh and fracture strain. They probably depend on the residual compressive stress induced by the pre-stressing in CFRP.<br>
