説明

  Silica sand, zircon sand, chromite sand and two kinds of glass beads were used as mold materials. The water soluble wash was prepared by adding different kinds of refractory powders to 2% carboxymethylcellulose and 1% bentonite aqueous solution. Amorphous graphite, spinel, zircon and calcium carbonate were used as refractory powder materials. The washing material using amorphous graphite gives the best casting surface. When no washing is made, sand burning and sand inclusion are resulted in. The water soluble washes used in this work have a tendency to drip on the mold wall. Drying is required after washing.
