Abstract
The fracture criteria of AC4CH alloy, which is of often used for structual parts, using the torsion-tension test equipment was examined. The fracture criteria of defect-free specimens agree with the Mises condition, but that of specimens with defects slightly changed towards the maximum principal stress theory. Effect of aging condition on the fracture criteria was found to be slight.
