Abstract

  Computer simulation system of molten metal flow in die casting process has been developed.<br>  The following analysis method has been developed :<br>  (i) viscous-flow analysis method considering the viscosity change by solidification and airpressure remaining in the die cavity.<br>  (ii) numerical treatment method of 3-dimensional complex shapes <br>  (iii) prediction method for die casting defects.<br>  The simulation results of complicated and large die-casting parts are being successfully applied industrially.
