抄録

Basic neutron behavior in the fusion reactor blanket and shield materials has been described using the terms of neutron moderation, diffusion, penetration and reflection. Special attention has been paid to explain the tritium breeding mechanism by the fusion neutrons in the blanket system. Status reviews on the neutron transport calculation techniques and relating researches to assess their accuracies have been also made.
