The distribution of dimensions of “Tanpi” was measured and was compared with “Mitsumata” and “Ganpi” : as shown in Table 1, 2, 3, 9, 10. Length 1.55.7 mm (aver. 2.9 mm); Width 3-15μ (aver. 8.3μ) Fiber ratio is aver. 278 and is simlar to “Ganpi” and is smaller than “Mitsumata”. <BR>The fiber length of “Tanpi” is smaller than “Ganpi” and is close to “Mitsumata”. <BR>The fiber width of “Tanpi” is finer than “Ganpi” and is close to “Mitsumata”. <BR>A comparison of the size distribution of “Tanpi” with “Ganpi” and “Mitsumata” by using pulpclassifier is given in Table 8. <BR>A comparison of straw with bamdoo is given Table 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
