Description

Three aromatic poly (ether sulfone) s were prepared by the polycondensation of bis (4-chlorophenyl) sulfone with three different bisphenols, bisphenol A and two other bisphenols in which one or two methyl groups of isopropylidene group are substituted with phenyl groups. Thermal stability of these polymers was evaluated by means of thermogravimetry, to show that substitution of methyl group by phenyl group in the bisphenol component resulted in increase of thermal and oxidative stability of the polymers.
